Munch Menu Winter Breakfast Planner
Make a resolution to save your morning sanity
If you’re new here, welcome! To get started, check out my first munch menu, which includes my dietary philosophy and an overview on how to use these weekly meal plans. Also, make sure to stock up on my (mostly) non-toxic munchkin kitchen essentials which help make meal prep much easier.
When people start spinning their wheels with grand resolution declarations, I usually point them toward breakfast as a more reasonable place to start.
Most of us either grab something quick and trashy, or due to time constraints, don’t grab anything at all. Neither path is ideal from a health perspective.
And yet, how are any of us supposed to take care of ourselves when we can barely get our screaming children fed and out the door on time?
Meal prepping breakfast—for yourself, for your munch—is one of the easiest and most impactful things you can do for your general health, not to mention your sanity.
I created my summer breakfast planner for this exact purpose, and I was thrilled to see how many of you raved about it. The recipes are by no means off limits for the winter months, but I thought as a way to close out the year with gratitude, that I would create another seasonal offering for the dark months of January and beyond.
In the spirit of regularly scheduled programming (our Friday Munch Menu), the planner will help you carve out a daily schedule for your offerings.
We don’t vary the mornings like we do dinners—it’s the same group of dishes week after week, but every day is different from the last. Instead of giving you just one week of a sample schedule, I’ve included a second so you know how to use up some of the pre-batched dishes according to their “expiration date.”
Like always, the plan is a mix of meal prep and quickies.
Here’s the basic idea:
Set aside 1 to 2 hours on the weekend to prep breakfast for the next two weeks (or more!).
The plan alternates sweet and savory days
We utilize something pre-made or frozen half the time
Even if you’re cooking, you’ll spend no more than 10 minutes getting breakfast on the table. BOOM.
I’m including the schedules for everyone, but the more robust game plan PDF, which includes 4 recipes, storage and freezing instructions, meal prep schedule, and detailed instructions for the morning of, is only for paid subscribers.
Thank you so much for joining me over here in 2025! Munch Menus is officially at full term (9 months old!) and taking shape in a way I’m really proud of. I’ve loved the conversations in the comments and learning more from this collective brain trust as time goes on. Toddlers are insane. Parenting is batshit crazy. I don’t know where I’d be without my virtual and IRL community to laugh and cry with.
As I begin planning for 2026, I would love to hear more about the topics taking up space in your head, culinary pain points, recipe requests—ANYTHING! Drop it in the chat. I live to please.
Happy munching!
Phoebe
THE GAME PLAN
Store-Bought Spotlight
(elements you can buy)
Mr. Chompy Nut Butter: This small batch nut butter is truly the best thing I’ve ever tasted. The maple vanilla pecan is slightly crunchy, minimally sweet, and meticulously made (per the label). It would be the perfect topper for the Hi-Fi(ber) pancakes or ginger-pear overnight oats. It also just tastes delicious with sliced apples, if you manage to not finish the jar by the spoonful first. Code MUNCH will get you 10% off your first order. Do yourself a favor and get every flavor! They also make great stocking stuffers.
P.S. Have you been enjoying Munch Menus as a free subscriber? It takes me many many hours to put together these game plans every week. If you love them, it’s a very reasonable $1.50 per week if you do the annual option. A small price to pay for someone to do all the planning for you!
